Description: Multiple residence
Location: Kadhimiya, Baghdad
Size of Plot: 450m2.
Status: Under construction
Designed to accommodate an extended family well
into the future the house is dominated by its front staircase which can be
accessed form inside the house or directly from the outside. This is done using
an entrance foyer which separates the users of the ground floor from those
wishing to go directly to the upper floors. The first floor is designed as two
separate flats hence the
independent link to the outside.
The exterior walls and roof are insulated with 5cm of styropor; the interior water piping is poly propylene. The complex exterior is covered with rough stone, smooth stone, red clay tiles, and plastic paint. The garage roof is perforated steel suspended form a tilted column.
